Ambassadors
Our ambassadors are guides and anglers from all over the country who care deeply about clean water and healthy fisheries. They're out on the water every day, doing what they love and helping reduce pollution along the way. It’s all about protecting the places we fish—for today and for the future.
Owen Ward
In 2012, he caught his first trout on the fly in the shadow of his namesake, Mount Owen, in the Teton Range. That first west slope cutthroat changed the trajectory of his life. For the past 13 years, he has centered his life around fly fishing and conservation across New England and beyond.
Based in Thetford, Vermont, he has been guiding throughout the Connecticut River Watershed since 2021. He previously served as the head guide for the Orvis-endorsed Woodstock Inn & Resort for several years before branching out to launch his own guide service and fly tying company, Flow State Fly Fishing.
He enjoys pursuing and guiding a wide variety of species, including smallmouth bass, sunfish, brook trout, salmon, gar, musky, striped bass, and everything in between. Above all, he enjoys educating clients and friends about the many avenues of fly fishing.
Conservation remains at the forefront of his guiding philosophy. He is a Trout Unlimited lifetime member and serves on the board of his local TU chapter as co-chair of the conservation committee. He has also worked for Trout Unlimited in Vermont and New Hampshire as a skilled sawyer and conservation specialist, helping restore rivers by adding woody debris to improve flood resiliency, habitat, and refuge for cold-water species.
He believes that fish are his business partners and takes great pride in protecting them and the waters they inhabit for generations to come.
Aaron Weinberg
Aaron has been a lifetime fisherman and enjoyer of the outdoors from an early age. Fly fishing became a primary interest at the age of about 12, and with it came a greater appreciation for nature and the public resources shared by anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and their communities.
Aaron now calls the mountains of North Carolina home, where he hopes to take full advantage of the prolific smallmouth and trout fisheries of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains.
He has since begun working with a regional nonprofit whose mission is to clear local watersheds of debris from the widespread flooding directly related to the Hurricane Helene disaster.
Nik Foster
Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Nik developed a deep connection to the land and sea from an early age. He caught his first bonefish on a 5wt fly rod at 12 years old and has been hooked ever since. Fishing and conservation quickly became passions that helped shape the man he is today.
He has been guiding the waters of the Cayman Islands since the age of 17. Now at 26, he serves on the National Conservation Council of the Cayman Islands, where he works to promote the conservation and sustainable use of Cayman’s natural resources and biological diversity.
Securing protections for bonefish, tarpon, and permit as gamefish has been one of his main goals, and he is proud to say that progress toward that goal is very close.
Through guiding and conservation efforts, he aims to show his fellow Caymanians that if they take care of their island, the island will take care of them.
